Besharl Jacket by Style Arc Patterns

Alert: Monster post ahead.
I don't even know what happened, ha! Actually, I do! Allow me to explain.

This post is both an inspiration post with three different Besharl Jackets (a pattern from StyleArc), a warning to not be as dumb as me, small tips about how to improve fit if needed, and lastly a couple of tutorials on which techniques to use to get a very nice finish on the inside. They will be useful for lots of styles. Not just this one.

Como Set, StyleARC

I hope you are ready to cringe and chuckle. I did something SO dumb and I dedicate this post to the face palm!
And even though I could have made this post without telling you, I definitely want to use it as an opportunity to remind everyone to not "be like Mie", ha.

This is the Como Set from StyleARC and I bought it pretty much on the spot when it released (before ambassador agreement were reached in case you wondered.)

V Neck Blouson Jacket

I was overwhelmed by the thought of boiling down all the info on this jacket to a few IG posts, so I decided to make a short blog post instead.

This is the V Neck Blouson Jacket 07/2014-101 by BurdaStyle.

BurdaStyle Boyfriend Cardigan 09/2013-111

I know this might sound a bit strange but I totally love to browse through BurdaStyle's giant archive of patterns and try to decipher some of those patterns where the sewn model and /or fabric is not really speaking to me. Basically trying to make lemons into lemonade I guess.

Oversized Sweatshirts and Knit Pencil Skirts

I feel like my sewing is rather random most of the time. If I have a plan it usually gets overtaken by something else that catches my attention. Or if I buy fabric with the intention for a specific pattern, I would say three out of four times it ends up as something else.

Not this time.....

Driftless Cardigan and Paola Turtleneck Tee with Nosh Fabrics

This is my fourth time making The Driftless Cardigan from Grainline Studio and it is finally making it to the blog. Kind of crazy, especially since I think I'm considering it my ultimate favorite adult pattern...I think!

Komi Kimono Jacket, Wool Edition

I can never have too many warm cardigans. I basically use one every day. In the winter to keep me warm and in the summer to avoid freezing to death in the cold air conditioning at public places. Wah!

I'm going to sew along with Petit a Petit's Project Sew It (search for the group on Facebook) this year. Every month has a theme and the theme of January is...ta da...sweaters. (Cardigans are totally a sweater too right haha).
